About 50 people attended the January meeting at Westwood College in Denver.

The January meeting of the Colorado Game Developers was attended by about 50 people. We met at Westwood College in Denver, who provided the space, a projector and a large spread of sandwiches for dinner. After announcements and introductions, we first heard from Jeremy MacNicol who presented a 2D game developed by students at Westwood. The side-scrolling platform game was the student's first use of DirectX and was completed in only 8 weeks. The main presentation was on the Torque game engine. Gary Haussmann led the presentation, with Chris Corliss talking about the TorqueScript programming language and Irin Berry and Jon Shattuck Jr showing demonstration projects using Torque. We then broke into smaller discussion groups until the building closed.
